Two leading scholars comment on three key speeches of the American civil rights leader and Nobel Peace Laureate Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Junior.

Dr. Clayborne Carson has been directing the King Papers Project since 1985, after being specially requested by Coretta Scott King. He also established the Martin Luther King Jr. Research and Education Institute at Stanford University in 2005.

Dr. Vincent Harding is Professor of Religion and Social Transformation at Illif School of Theology in Denver, Colorado. He was also a friend and speech writing partner of King.
