Morning Edition Host Josh Raulerson To Sign Off Tuesday

90.5 WESA

It’s a season of change. Soon, we’ll know who our next president is and which party will control the Senate. Change is also coming to 90.5 WESA. Morning Edition host Josh Raulerson is leaving for a new job in nonprofit communications.

His last day is Tuesday.

“It’s been my honor, it’s been my pleasure to be with you in the morning,” he said.

In addition to waking up every morning with Pittsburgh to deliver the news, Josh has been an instrumental part of 90.5 WESA’s podcasting efforts. He served as Social Club’smuch needed straight man, boosted our curiosity about the new frontiers of technology with Nanograms and helped create and co-produced Criminal Injustice, which looks at the dynamics of our criminal justice system.

As we bid adieu to Josh, Morning Edition producer Chris Ayers will be taking over hosting duties for the immediate future. Chris hails from Indianapolis, Ind. and loves Pittsburgh’s Midwestern feel.

“The people are nice, the food is fantastic, the scenery is beautiful and the City of Pittsburgh is very dynamic,” he said. “Pittsburgh has been very kind to me so far.”

Chris is looking forward to what happens with the election and Uber’s self-driving cars.

And Josh won’t be leaving Pittsburgh — he’s joining the Pennsylvania Environmental Council as its director of communications and plans to remain a loyal 90.5 WESA listener.
