The pandemic put additional strain on nonprofit organizations as many expanded their services to help people during the pandemic. Locally, organizations like the Allignment Chapter Corporation and Catapult Greater Pittsburgh offered emergency essentials like food, clothes, and PPE to people in need.This year, the Greater Pittsburgh Nonprofit Partnership’s biennial summit will highlight some of the local nonprofits that work to address the effects of COVID-19 and racial disparities in the region. The virtual summit starts October 13 and runs through the end of the week.
