Government & Economic Stimulus Plan

NPR's Chris Arnold reports that President Bush's economic growth package offers little relief to states reeling from growing budget shortfalls. A Democratic alternative would commit at least $30 billion to help states cover the cost rising expenses and lower revenue. Regardless of what comes out of Washington, states will be forced to make deep cuts in services.
