A 'World Cafe' Special With Rosanne Cash

The daughter of country superstar Johnny Cash, Rosanne Cash has built her own reputation over the years. Rosanne Cash's brand of country music has been a go-to style for many contemporary singers and songwriters.

Born to Cash and his first wife, Rosanne Cash released her first album in 1979, and has since recorded several No. 1 country hits and received multiple Grammy nominations.

Enter the '90s, with the release of some highly acclaimed and personal albums, as well as a 10-song demo she recorded at home. Cash recently released her 12th full-length album, The List, in October 2009. With guest performances by Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello, Jeff Tweedy and Rufus Wainwright, the album re-interprets 12 songs that Johnny Cash handed to his daughter in a list of essential country songs.
