Kristina Train, Recorded Live In Concert

Kristina Train is a woman out of time, with a powerful old-soul voice and a gift for rich, gospel-tinged tones. Suitable for fans of Norah Jones, Janis Joplin, jazz, and/or blues, her music even seems to channel Aretha Franklin at times. Click the link above to hear Kristina Train perform live in concert from WXPN and World Cafe Live in Philadelphia.

Raised on classic '60s and '70s music, the young singer became a proficient violinist. (She composed, arranged and dubbed some of the string parts on her debut.) Born in New York and raised in Georgia, Train learned to embody the sounds of both places, and began singing professionally by the age of 19. Now, with the release of her first studio album, Spilt Milk, Train is already appearing onstage alongside big names such as Susan Tedeschi and Willie Nelson.
