Art lovers will be able to access Andy Warhol's work on the fly. A new smart phone application created by Pittsburgh's Warhol Museum includes a large collection of his work. Museum spokeswoman Emily Meyer says the program spans Warhol's career, from the 1920s to the 1980s. It also includes "archival materials, letters, images, film, and video clips, as well as audio, so it gives users a behind the scenes glimpse," says Meyer.
She explains that they are not worried that people will turn to the app instead of heading to the museum, because it can be used in conjunction with a visit, and by people who do not have the option to come to Pittsburgh to see the work in person.
The application is $2.99 for smart phones, and $3.99 for tablet devices.
