The Defibulators On Mountain Stage

The Defibulators make their first appearance on Mountain Stage, recorded live at West Virginia University's Creative Arts Center.

Based in Brooklyn by way of California, Texas and New Jersey, bandleader Bug Jennings was introduced to country music only after moving to New York City. He put a group together on short notice to open for a friend's punk cover band, playing everything from rockabilly jams to Black Flag. They soon began writing their own music, and the result found a place where the gutter meets the Grand Ole Opry.

Not long after, the newly formed Defibulators released Corn Money, bought a 1977 ambulance on eBay and launched a national tour. The group's sound has taken it to Central Park's Summerstage, Amsterdam's Paradiso and the top of a Macy's float. The Defibulators' new album is titled Debt'll Get 'Em.
