It's always a treat when members of dearly departed duo The Books release new material. Last year, it was Nick Zammuto and his Anchor LP; today, it's Paul de Jong, who's teasing is upcoming album IF with an entertaining retro-collage video for the song "Auction Block."
These charming three minutes sound like halcyon Books, more so than anything the two musicians have released since the band officially broke up in 2012. De Jong directed and edited the video for "Auction Block" himself, and I for one would love to see him visualize the entire Books discography. Someone start the Kickstarter!
