Anyone who's ever fallen in love knows how torturous it can be. The stomach-turning collision of fear and desire can leave anyone a wreck. "Get Out," a new song and video from the Scottish rock group Frightened Rabbit, captures this tumult perfectly, as obsession battles with the sickness it leaves in its wake. "Get out of my heart," sings frontman Scott Hutchison. "I saw a glimmer in the dark and now I know she won't get out of my heart."
In the video, directed beautifully by Greg Davenport and shot against the gothic landscape of Kiev, two young women fall in love, but struggle to make sense of their own desires. "It's about that person to whom you are completely addicted," Hutchison says on the band's website. "They are a drug, and the one that you don't feel like quitting. They live in your blood and will not leave. I've always found it compelling to write about the physical nature of love and loss, rather than the mental aspect."
"Get Out" is from Frightened Rabbit's upcoming album Painting Of A Panic Attack, due out April 8 on Atlantic.
