Singer-songwriter John Paul White makes his third appearance on Mountain Stage, recorded live at the Culture Center Theater in Charleston, W.Va. Born and raised in Muscle Shoals, Ala., White began as a solo singer before embarking on a career-making (and Grammy-yielding) journey with Joy Williams as the indie-folk duo The Civil Wars.

After taking a break from touring and making an appearance on Nashville producer Dave Cobb's concept album Southern Family, White returns to Mountain Stage with a long-awaited second solo release, a dynamic piece steeped in Southern-gothic and guitar-driven escapism. Beulah is out now on Single Lock Records, the label he founded alongside Alabama Shakes' Ben Tanner and Shoals native Will Trapp.
