90.5 WESA Nine Wins At 2013 PABPA Awards

Presented by the Pennsylvania AP Broadcasters Association, the 2013 PAPBA News Awards are in recognition of outstanding broadcast journalism efforts by AP member radio and television stations, cable television and networks in Pennsylvania. Awards were presented on May 31 at the PAPBA banquet in State College. 

90.5 WESA claimed nine wins, including three top prizes, as well as the Sandy Starobin Award for Individual Reporting.

A native of Flagstaff, Arizona, Reid joined 90.5 in May 2013 as a fellow in the WESA programming department. The triple major--English writing, sociology and film studies is on track to receive his degree from the University of Pittsburgh in April 2015. Following graduation, Reid wants to make a career out of writing.
