The Regional Murrow Awards recognized WESA in the digital news category for “WESA Voting Matters,” its ongoing initiative to provide nonpartisan, independent elections journalism for southwestern Pennsylvania.
This joint research and reporting project will ensure WESA can tap into the opinions of people in Pittsburgh on a regular basis and use the corresponding results to complement our reporting.
In preparation for coverage of the upcoming trial, our newsroom has adopted a policy to amend and formalize the language we now use in our reporting on the air and online to refer to the attack as “the Pittsburgh synagogue shootings.”
