Panel Discussion: Understanding Islam - Voices from Pittsburgh

Join the World Affairs Council and 90.5 WESA on Wednesday, February 10 at the Community Broadcast Center for a panel discussion on the beliefs and practices of Islam, which is practiced by 1.6 billion people around the world and is often misunderstood by non-Muslims. Hear from local Muslim community leaders as they share their unique perspectives and experiences about what it means to be Muslim, as well as challenges facing Muslims in America. Panelists include Safdar Khwaja, Chapter President of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, and Wasi Mohamed, Executive Director od the Islamic Center of Pittsburgh. The discussion will be moderated by Paul Guggenheimer, host of Essential Pittsburgh on 90.5 WESA.

This community event is free and open to the publicThere is no charge for this event, but space is limited, so advance registration is required.
