Getting a Handle of Curling
Curling has been growing in popularity, especially during the Winter Olympics. While it may be a while before Team USA wins a medal, Pittsburgh has a growing curling culture. The Pittsburgh Curling Club, an official member of the US Curling Association has offered Curling Experience classes throughout the Winter Olympics. 250 Years of the Fort Pitt Block House
Throughout 2013, the Fort Pitt Society conducted a 10-month preservation and restoration project at the Block House. This undertaking came just in time as 2014 marks the 250th anniversary of the structure. Joining us to discuss the past, present and future of the Block House is curator Emily Weaver.
