During his inaugural speech in January, Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto said he would govern with a focus on "Accountability, Responsibility, and Sustainability." He said he would begin that process with merit based hiring for his new administration. From a "rigorous screening process," facilitated by a third party initiative, to the creation of completely new positions, how has his approach to hiring city officials reflected a new vision for Pittsburgh?
