Pittsburghers venturing downtown on Friday night have at least two opportunities to experience the arts.
The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust's Spring Gallery Crawl takes place from 5:30 to 9 p.m., while the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership's Night Market IV runs from 6 to 11 p.m.
The Night Market, which takes place on the corner of 8th Street and Penn Avenue in the Cultural District, will feature 27 vendors — more than ever before — featuring a mix of food, fine art and hand crafts.
"There will be 37 arts venues, live music, DJs, comedy," said Jeremy Waldrup, PDP president and CEO.
"It's going to be a fantastic evening downtown," he added. "The weather should be really nice. I think everyone is ready for spring to finally get here, and downtown's going to be humming."
The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust's Spring Gallery Crawl will be held throughout the city's Cultural District, and a variety of arts and entertainment venues are taking part. The event is free.
