Lawrenceville is set to take a heavy dose of rock and roll with the second annual Rock All Night Tour. Dubbed R.A.N.T., this expansive music festival is taking over 20 indoor and outdoor venues while presenting a wide assortment of musical stylings. Featuring everything from classic American bluegrass to modern heavy metal, 50 bands and 20 solo artists will play throughout the day on Saturday and pushing into the early hours on Sunday. The event begins with the Morning Breakfast Tour from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Dozen Bake Shop, Embody Juice Bar, and Wild Purveyors Market. Events continue throughout the day at various venues in Lawrenceville, finishing off at 2 a.m. Sunday morning.

A different interpretation of the iconic lothario will be presented by the Pittsburgh Irish and Classical Theater with “Don Juan Comes Back from the War.” Upon his return from the Great War, Don Juan is shell-shocked and repentant. His old life of debauchery will not stay repressed, however, and Don Juan finds himself struggling to resist the man he used to be. Featuring David Whalen in the title roll, PICT presents the U.S. premiere of the new English version of Odon von Horvath’s play. “Don Juan Comes Back from the War” opens this weekend, with showings this Saturday at 8 p.m. and this Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Henry Heymann Theater in Oakland. Look for performances to continue from Wednesday to Sunday throughout the month of August.
