The Social Club Abides: Social Club October 9

First off, Rachel has never seen the Big Lebowski. Let’s all just take a moment and let that sink in.

Also, Josh had a birthday recently. Happy Birthday! Let’s party with some great events brought to you by Social Club.

Carnegie Museum of Art is bringing you Hops and Hopper event celebrating the great American artist Edward Hopper! Lots of different breweries will be on tap, including Grist House Brewing, Hitchhiker Brewing and more! Come on down Saturday night!

On Friday, Spirit Lodge brings you “Pittsburgh Abides 2015”. It is a Big Lebowski inspired festival, bringing you all things “dude”. Enjoy trivia, bowling (of course), rugs, costumes and more!

Maker Faire Pittsburgh is this Saturday and Sunday. There have been Maker Faires before but this one is the real deal, people. It is part science fair, part show and tell, and part carnival. Come down to the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh and join the fun. Make your own MEME and Yelp will be there too with their photo booth!

Join Bakery Square this Friday for the Film and Food Truck Fest beginning at 5pm. Many different vendors will be there along with the sounds of DJ Zombo and a performance by local band, Th’ Royal Shakes! Enjoy fall crafts, beers, food and a movie (we don’t believe it is going to be The Big Lebowski.)

Phantom Fright Nights is back at Kennywood, every Friday and Saturday night throughout October. Come on down for some spooky fun including rides, haunted house, scary characters and more!

The Masked Ball: A Pittsburgh Fashion Story is at CAVO Night Club, Saturday night. Wear your best, find a fun mask and check out a great fashion show featuring some great designers.

Saturday night is Blue Dust’s PumpkinFest. Under the Homestead Grays High Level Bridge is where all the fun is at. Come for live music, local food and over 20 pumpkin beers on tap.

The Neighborhood Flea is this Sunday. Shop in the Strip District and check out lots of local vendors! Support your local stores!
