Let’s face it. It is brutal outside. So let’s do some things indoors. WESA’s Josh and Sarah and Yelp Pittsburgh’s Rachel may have cheese on the mind (who doesn’t?) but they are willing to put their cheese boards aside and check out these great events. So put away the brie, cheddar and Muenster and join them at these fun places, all of which are indoors!
Now, this first event we are going to tell you about seems like it would be outdoors, but hear us out. The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Gallery Crawl is this Friday. Check out the different galleries and vendors that will feature art, crafts, food and jewelry. Lots of your favorites will be there like A519 Chocolate, a local truffle maker in the area. Plan ahead and pick up some Valentine Day gifts…maybe a gift for some lovely WESA employees and one cool chick from Yelp…hint hint. Best part of all of this? Everything is indoors!
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society presents its 6th Annual Pour for a Cure, this Friday at the U.S. Steel Tower. Come on down for a fun night of beer tasting and food pairings all in the name of blood cancer research. Designated Driver tickets are available. Helping out a great cause and you get to be indoors? Sign us up!
It wouldn’t be winter time without a Winterfest. East End Food Co-op presents its Winterfest this Saturday at the Hosanna House in Wilkinsburg. Enjoy yummy food including vegan and vegetarian options and music by Nice Rec. East End Brewing will be there as well, providing delicious locally-brewed craft beers. A great thing about this event? You guessed it, it’s indoors.
City of Play hosts adult recreational games throughout the year. This Sunday, they present “Rec Room: Winter Games” from 5-8pm at Spirit. Enjoy some drinks and music while playing some of your favorite games. Again, all of this is indoors.
One note before we close up this week's Social Club. Josh Raulerson has yet to see Star Wars. Go ahead. Shake your head in shame at him. He deserves it. You know, this is something he could do this weekend indoors…just saying.
