Would You Like A Side Of Magic With Your Weekend Activities? Social Club November 4

Candy time may be over but that doesn’t mean the fun has to end! WESA’s Josh and Sarah and Yelp Pittsburgh’s Rachel are battling their post-Halloween sugar highs and are here to let you know about all the fun events going on this weekend, with a side of magic.

Start your weekend off right with Spice World vs. Cool As Ice. These cinematic classics are playing at Row House Cinema, Friday night. Whether you want to "zigazig ah" or "rock the mic like a vandal," this event has something for you.

The Pancakes and Booze Art Show is this Saturday at Spirit Lodge, featuring over 50 artists, live body painting (scandalous!), FREE PANCAKE BAR and live art battles. So basically it is the coolest event ever.

Also on Saturday is the Pittsburgh Vegan Festival FALL EDITION at Unitarian Universalist Church of the North Hills. Enjoy cooking demos, family activities and vendors selling your favorite vegan food from the city!

Also on Saturday is The 5th Annual Harvest Tasting in the Strip District. This casual gathering lets food lovers taste and try locally grown and produced food.

This Sunday, if you happen to be strolling through Pittsburgh and you see a man suspended from a crane, don't sweat it. It's just the 100th anniversary of Harry Houdini’s upside down straight jacket escape and magician Lee Terbosic is recreating the magical moment.

The 2016 Wizard World Comic Con is this weekend at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. Meet celebrities, like Shane from Walking Dead, and celebrate the best in pop culture, movies, comics and more.

BONUS EVENT! Nov. 9  is Between Two Fermenters at East End Brewing, featuring our very own Rachel! Each installment will feature an East Ender, a guest brewer, a moderator and a small business person or artist. Hear our panel talk about what it's like to work and drink in Pittsburgh.

Should be a fun weekend. If you go to Lee Terbosic's show, let us know on Twitter
