This year’s Summit moves from identifying obstacles, strategic planning, and best practices to improving Equity, Equality, and Justice by putting the information gained during the last two summits into action.

Participants will hear from people who can speak to what steps are currently working, how they plan to implement plans moving into the future, and how they to define what is successful when it comes to Racial Equality.
As American cities are thriving again, decade-old socioeconomic, rural-urban, racial, and gender divides are growing and are exacerbated by institutional inequality, despite collective best efforts, the rebirth rests largely on institutionally racist and sexist systems of the past built into our capital, land use, and systems that were never taken head-on. Redlining's legacy is felt in both rapidly gentrifying and economically frozen neighbor equity to marginalized communities. This is the thrust of our 2022 Community Development Summit.
