School buses pull up the schools in the Plum Borough School District for the first day of the semester on Aug. 29, 2017.

A Pennsylvania high school teacher acquitted of intimidating a student who accused another teacher of sexual assault is on leave as police investigate a new allegation against him.

An attorney for Drew Zoldak told WTAE-TV on Thursday that his client has been suspended with pay. The Plum Borough School District has said it received an allegation of a policy violation and immediately reported it to police. The nature of the violation is unclear. No charges have been filed.

Zoldak was found not guilty of witness intimidation in 2016.

A girl who had accused another teacher of having sex with her said Zoldak pointed her out in class. Prosecutors argued he was trying to discourage her cooperation in the case against Joseph Ruggieri, who later pleaded guilty to institutional sexual assault.
