People and cars and other buses, cyclists and skateboarders, curbs and poles, steep hills and narrow roads: driving a bus in Pittsburgh is tough. Operator Jill Smallwood’s boss told her accidents are not possibilities but eventualities. ";

Jill Smallwood has operated a Port Authority bus for nearly five years and says the learning curve is pretty steep. She found out the hard way that there’s a lot to pay attention to, both inside and outside the bus.
