Absentee Ballots Due Tuesday

With the general elections less than three weeks, absentee voters are encouraged to sign up and register for their ballots as soon as possible – the deadline is 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28th.

For Allegheny County residents, there are multiple ways to request the necessary absentee voter application. Requests can be mailed in or obtained in person at the Allegheny County Elections Division located at the County Office Building, Room 601, 542 Forbes Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. In addition, voters can access the application at www.votespa.com or by calling (412) 350-4520.

The Allegheny County Elections Division recommends visiting the Allegheny County Elections Division and filling out the application on location. Once the application is complete, absentee voters can cast their ballot then and there, which is the most expedient option for those who will be out of the municipality on November 4th. Other options listed above are available for those who cannot reach the polls due to disability or illness.

A proof of identification is needed for an absentee ballot. The forms of identification that are accepted include a Pennsylvania state Driver’s License number, a PennDOT ID number, the last four digits of a Social Security Number, and an acceptable form of photo ID.

For those casting absentee ballots, they are due by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 31st
