It's Primary Election Day In PA; Polls Are Open Until 8 p.m.

Updated at 1 p.m.

It's primary election day in Pennsylvania.

At the top of Tuesday's statewide ballot are nomination races for three seats on the state Supreme Court, with 12 candidates to choose from. The three top vote-getters in each party will compete in the general election for a 10-year term on the state's highest court.

Also on the ballot are Democratic nomination races for the Superior and Commonwealth courts.

At around 10 a.m., Hannah Hardy was the 57th voter at her North Side voting facility. She said she tries to vote in every election because they all matter in different ways.

“There are a lot of local races that I think are really important that I think really impact my life in the city, things I do with my kids, things like that, school board races … I think the local races can have a big impact on our quality of life every day,” she said.

Polls opened at 7 a.m. and will close at 8 p.m. You can find your polling place here.
