Volunteer coordinator Tricia Cunningham trained supporters on what to say when calling registered voters ahead of the state's April 26 primary.

“We have a certain and specific message we want to get out there," Cunningham said. "We want people to know what his policies are, what his plans are, what his objectives are. And then you get to meet a friend. This is what affected me and you know for some people, immigration hits them hard.”

Democratic hopefuls Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders each visited the Steel City in recent weeks. Clinton spoke at Carnegie Mellon University last Wednesday to a crowd of about 2,000 and Sanders drew more than 8,000 to the convention center on March 31.
