Democratic presidential hopefuls -- and their spouses -- have added more campaign stops in Pennsylvania ahead of next week's April 26 primary.
Democrat Hillary Clinton, fresh off a decisive win in New York on Tuesday, made a campaign stop in Philadelphia Wednesday. She's also scheduled to attend Friday visits in the Philadelphia area, Pittsburgh and Scranton.
Bill Clinton campaigned for his wife in Johnstown and Pittsburgh on Wednesday. He spoke to educators at the South Side headquarters of the Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers at 6:15 p.m. for a meeting of the Pennsylvania State Education Association.
“She thinks we have spent too little money on trying to help teachers become better teachers, help principals become better principals and spreading practices that work across the country," the former president said.
President Clinton also addressed the University of Pittsburgh’s Johnstown campus earlier in the day and plans to visit Harrisburg on Thursday. His visit comes two weeks after Chelsea Clinton rallied campaign workers in East Liberty.
Republican Ted Cruz was in Hershey early Wednesday.
Donald Trump is slated to host a Thursday evening rally is at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center in Harrisburg.
Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders has two town halls on Thursday, the first in Scranton and the second in Reading.
Representatives for Republican John Kasich, who stopped in Pittsburgh on Tuesday for a fundraiser at the Duquesne Club and a brief conversation with supporters in Market Square, said the Ohio governor is likely to return this week.
Cruz is the only candidate yet to host a public, Pittsburgh event.
