Pittsburgh Police are investigating the shooting deaths of a 17-year-old girl and a 20-year-old man at a Hill District home Tuesday night.
According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, the home on McNeil Place was an AirBnB rental. The Trib reports:
“We are horrified by the loss of life, and our thoughts are with the victims of this senseless tragedy,” said Ben Breit, an Airbnb spokesman. “The reported behavior violates everything our global community stands for.”
The Facebook group STK, Embrace Life, which posts remembrances of homicide victims in the Pittsburgh area, said that 17-year-old Alexus Chester was celebrating her birthday at a graduation party at the home. Chester is the third minor to die of gun violence in Allegheny County this year.
The man who died was Tyreese Smith. Another man was injured when he was grazed by a bullet.
No further details about the shooting are available at this time.
