More Awards for 90.5 WESA

May 31, 2015:  90.5 WESA's Josh Raulerson and The Allegheny Front's Reid Frazier, along with Erika Beras, Deanna Garcia, Kevin Gavin, Larkin Page-Jacobs and Sarah Schneider won awards for their reporting at the 2015 Pennsylvania Associated Press Broadcasters Awards, held May 30 in Gettysburg. 

A first-place award in the News Documentary category went to Raulerson and Frazier for their series, "Zone of Influence". Kevin Gavin and Sarah Schneider received second place in this category for their work on the "School to Prison Pipeline" broadcast.

Larkin Page-Jacobs won a second place award for her feature on a business incubator for felons. Erika Beras won a third-place award in the Public Affairs category for her report on veterans and traumatic brain injuries, while Deanna Garcia won a third place award in enterprise/individual reporting for her work on poverty in the LGBT community.
