The new 90.5 WESA transmitter is up and running! Thank you for your patience and for your contributions. We are back at full power and your listening experience should be back to normal. Please let us know by completing a short, anonymous survey at wesa.fm/transmitter. We’re interested in how we sound in your home, as part of your normal driving routin and the ZIP Code where you live. Your feedback will very useful and greatly appreciated.
Here are some pictures of the first steps in removing the old transmitter and of the new transmitter:
Thank you to the more than 600 people who have given nearly $67,000 to help replace the transmitter. We are so grateful for your support. The total cost will be in the neighborhood of $150,000, with just some of that covered by insurance. We are still accepting donations to the 90.5 WESA Transmitter Replacement Fund.
And thank you again for your patience throughout this process. We look forward to being back at full power soon.
