Pittsburgh based actor, Randy Kovitz, is the lone performer in a one-man play called Underneath the Lintel. The play is a journey of self discovery in which the hero, a librarian, tries to solve the mystery of a book that's been missing for over a century.

"There's the metaphor of 'Underneath the Lintel' that characters make decisions while standing in a doorway between their old life and their new life and regret them later," Kovitz says.

A unique aspect of the show is that there are no other actors to play opposite Kovitz.

But he says, "In this particular play, the audience is my partner."

Underneath the Lintel runs February 5-26 at the Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre.
