Two Pittsburgh residents, Tim Wesley and Drew Harvey work with the Nyadire Connection to provide medical help in Africa.
Tim Wesley is a volunteer at the Nyadire Connection and Drew Harvey is the chairman of the Nyadire Connection.
The Connection has been working in Zimbabwe since 2006, when the country had essentially collapsed.
“I think its been a really amazing journey. There were 19 of us on that first trip and we’ve continued to go back to the same location… We’ve worked mostly with the hospital, with the orphans and the children, but then it’s also evolved to programs with microloans and rejuvenating a farm- a lot of things that have been the interest of specific people that went over,” Harvey said.
