Take A Trip: Four Things To Do In Nashville, Tenn.

Nine hours away from the Steel City is the Music City — Nashville, Tennessee. But there’s more to the city than country music. This week, contributor Elaine Labalme told us how to the get the most out of a visit to Nashville.

The Grand Ole Opry is the world famous home of American Music, with weekly concerts by members. The unique shows present at least eight artists, giving the audience a taste of everything.

The Belle Meade Plantation once sat on 200 acres of property, but now only 30 remain. Visit the horse stable, dairy, mausoleum and small log cabin that accompany the plantation that has been around since 1806.

The Paradise Park Trailer Resort is “a total dive that locals just swear by,” according to Elaine. Where else can you get fried Spam sandwich and tater tots in Nashville?

At the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, visitors can see exhibits and collections ranging from photos to artifacts like guitars. The museum also hosts concerts and hands-on demonstrations for families.
