Local News Outlets Alter Coverage Strategy During Trump's First 100 Days

When Pittsburgh-based aluminum company, Alcoa Corp., moved into a small South American country, it forever shaped the region’s industry. Now that the industry is gone, the country is experiencing the effects of its absence. Post-Gazette reporters Len Boselovic and Rich Lord traveled to Suriname in March, and have produced a four-part series on how the region is dealing with Alcoa’s departure.

The saga of the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority continues this week, as new claims surfaces in the case against Veolia, the company accused of mishandling the agency. We'll talk with Pittsburgh City Paper Editor Rebecca Addison about the new allegations, as well as the news that the city will offer free water kits and filters to city residents.
