Rural Hospitals Lack State, County Support In Pandemic, Says Bradford Doctor

A McKean County physician says her local hospital is struggling in the pandemic to offer comprehensive care to the community while staying funded.

On today's program: Despite the need for testing and contact tracing to combat the pandemic, a physician at a rural hospital in northern Pennsylvania says it’s under-resourced; NPR Morning Edition host David Greene reflects on the Steelers season thus far; and the Pennsylvania Restaurant and Lodging Association president says COVID-19 could force half of the state’s restaurants to permanently close.

Kevin Gavin is the host of WESA's news interview program "The Confluence." He is a native Pittsburgher and served as news director for 90.5 WDUQ for 34 years. Since the sale of the radio station by Duquesne University to Pittsburgh EPM, Inc.
