Gov. Wolf's Budget Proposes Boosting Staff At Several Of PA's Environmental Departments

Times are flush in Pennsylvania — at least, according to Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf’s latest budget proposal.

In the annual state budget address, Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf hit many of the education talking points he’s covered in previous addresses: more funding for public schools, a push for universal kindergarten and expanded pre-K, to name a few.

In the week leading up to his annual budget address, Democratic Governor Tom Wolf is previewing some of the biggest pitches he plans to make to the Republican-controlled state House and Senate.

Lawmakers are on track to give Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf even more money than he asked for to fund voting machine improvements.

However, it will come with conditions.

Many of Pennsylvania's voting machines only record votes electronically. That makes it almost impossible to double-check tallies, and led to the commonwealth settling a lawsuit last year that accused it of being susceptible to election tampering.

There's no evidence tampering happened.
