By Anastasia Tsioulcas
The French singer Zaz has a voice as warm and rich as the wines in the Bordeaux region, where she first began performing. She wears her musical heart right on her sleeve: Her songs bear the deep imprints of her musical passions, from jazz manouche — hot, French-style "gypsy" jazz — to lighthearted Latin rhythms. In person, she's a performer full of insouciant charm.
