Of all the music festivals I attend each year, Mexico City's Vive Latino is by far my favorite. While other festivals function as gathering places for the industry and marketers, Vive Latino feels like a genuine celebration of great music. For three days, you can lose yourself among hundreds of thousands of rabid fans and watch performances by legendary acts like Los Fabulosos Cadillacs or Cafe Tacvba.

You also get to discover amazing new artists. This year, for example, I fell under the spell of Chilean musician Camila Moreno. I'd been listening to her work for some time, and thought it was good. But after seeing her live — and witnessing the raw energy with which she moves — I can honestly say she's my favorite artist to come out of this year's Vive Latino.

In this episode of Alt.Latino, I'm sharing my favorite musical discoveries from the festival with co-host Felix Contreras. And, of course, we want to hear from you. If you went to the festival, let us know: Which acts killed? Which didn't live up to your expectations? Who would you see again?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

¿Cuáles no?
