Josienne Clarke and Ben Walker have been making an impact on the British folk world over the last couple of years. They won the award for Best Duo at the 2015 BBC Folk Awards and released their first LP for Rough Trade Records, Overnight, this fall. The record captures what is special about these two: Clarke's voice, which has been compared to that of the late folk-rock icon Sandy Denny, and Walker's exquisite guitar work, which guides the record from folk to jazz with arrangements that perfectly suit the duo's songs. Hear two songs in this World Cafe Next segment.
