Pumpkinfest, a Children's Harvest Festival

Pumpkinfest, a Children's Harvest Festival

The 30th Annual Pumpkinfest, a Children’s Harvest Festival, will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024, in Allegheny Commons East Park, at the corner of East Ohio Street and Cedar Avenue, in Pittsburgh’s Northside. The festivities will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., with a rain date of Sunday, Oct. 13, 2024.

For three decades, Pumpkinfest has been the Northside’s favorite gathering place to celebrate the arrival of autumn, serving as many as 1,500 children and their families every year.

Pumpkinfest provides a day of fun including a petting zoo, games, educational activities, live music, food, pumpkin decorating, hayrides, pony rides, amusement rides, crafts, giveaway items, and more for children 12 years and younger. To promote the importance of public safety in the community, organizers will be raffling off bikes and giving away bike safety helmets.

Attendees will also enjoy the Health and Wellness Fair hosted by the Allegheny General Hospital (AGH) Northside Partnership, including educational, recreational, and public safety booths that provide families with positive information and resources of healthy life choices.

Registration will begin at noon and entrance requires a $5 donation per child. Upon entry, all activities are free of charge for event attendees.
