Another alligator has turned up in Pittsburgh, the seventh this year.

George DeSavage tells WTAE-TV he and his girlfriend spotted it along the Allegheny River as the sun was setting on Tuesday. He says he grabbed it and it “went kind of limp and calm.” He says it seemed like it was handled by somebody.

A fourth alligator was found near Pittsburgh this week.

The Shaler Police Department tweeted Friday that a 2-foot gator was found overnight in front of the Giant Eagle on Butler Plank Road, just off of Route 8.

The owner of an alligator that escaped from a Pittsburgh home last month is facing charges stemming from the discovery of numerous animals at the residence.

Police filed 33 counts of neglect against Mark McGowan on Tuesday, along with single counts of animal cruelty and recklessly endangering another person.

Authorities started investigating McGowan after "Chomp," a 5-foot-long alligator, was found along a city street June 6.

Public safety officials in Pittsburgh report having captured another alligator, the third found in the Steel City in the past month.

Officers responded at about 6:15 p.m. Saturday after a 2-and-a-half-foot alligator was found on the porch of a home in the Carrick neighborhood.
