North Korea and Russia

NPR's Lawrence Sheets reports on the relationship between North Korea and Russia. The United States would like to see Russia more intensely pressure their neighbor North Korea to halt its nuclear program, but the Russians prefer a more delicate approach.

Lawrence Scott Sheets concentrates on covering the Caucasus region of the former Soviet Union from his base in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia. Sheets has also reported for NPR from Iran and Afghanistan.
