Care Bears on Fire: 'Everybody Else'

Care Bears on Fire
Care Bears on Fire

The Brooklyn band Care Bears on Fire play noisy punk rock. Although they're young and still in school, the group cites influences that go beyond the average 7th grader's musical taste: the Ramones, the Pretenders, and the Buzzcocks.

Sophie (guitar and vocals), Izzy (drums), and Lucio (bass) started playing music as Nada Clue when they were only nine years old. The band reformed in the Fall of 2005 as Care Bears on Fire.

Produced by Joel Hamilton (Elvis Costello, Tom Waits, Frank Black), their album, I Stole Your Animal, is filled with fun, catchy songs about short lived relationships, teenage rebellion, and meeting people on Myspace.

Care Bears on Fire shows promise performing at several notable venues around NYC including Southpaw, Union Hall, and Pianos in addition to playing school dances, block parties, street fairs, and variety shows.
