Korfball might be foreign to most Americans — but not in Birmingham, Alabama

On Thursday, the World Games kick off in Birmingham, Alabama.

The 11-day competition hosts athletes from all over the world to compete in several sports including one less familiar to Americans called korfball. It’s already a popular sport in Birmingham.
