A MARTÍNEZ, HOST:
Good morning. I'm A Martínez. R&B singer Clarence Henry has died. Nicknamed "Frogman" for the way he would sing, Henry scored his biggest hit in 1956 with "Ain't Got No Home."
(SOUNDBITE OF SONG, "AIN'T GOT NO HOME")
CLARENCE HENRY: (Singing) I'm a lonely frog. I ain't got no home.
MARTÍNEZ: A fixture of the New Orleans music scene, Henry retired from the club circuit in 1981, though he made annual appearances at the city's Jazz and Heritage Festival. Henry was 87 years old. It's MORNING EDITION. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
