WESA Continuing Coverage: COVID-19 Pandemic

WESA's newsroom covered the pandemic throughout the year, starting with early concerns from government officials and health leaders, the shutdown of city services and businesses, a growing need for unemployment assistance, health effects of getting COVID-19, businesses starting to reopen, Black residents seeing disproportionate impacts, problems with testing, learning loss in school students, food insecurity, and state leaders' reluctance to shutdown amidst a boom in fall and winter cases.
