Curated by celebrated Pittsburgh soprano Zuly Inirio and featuring pianist Amaury Morales and percussionist Hugo Cruz, this vibrant program provides you with an opportunity to hear music that is rarely performed in the United States. You’ll hear music of the Venezualan composer Modesta Bor, the Cuban pianist and composer Ernesto Lecuona, living Cuban-American composer Tania León, and much, much more!

In Afro-Caribbean slang, tumbao has come to mean style, grace, rhythm, flair, panache, vigor, attitude, poise, confidence, and an unapologetic sense of self. So come as you are, and experience this visual and musical feast for the senses!
