A group of several dozen protesters is marching through Downtown Pittsburgh Sunday afternoon, after gathering in Market Square.

The group chanted "Hands up, don't shoot," amidst a heavy police presence. In front of the City County Building and on Grant Street, they paused to spray paint messages, including "I can't breathe," "No justice, no peace" and "BLM."

Sunday's protest follow Saturday's events, when thousands in Pittsburgh marched peacefully to demand justice for George Floyd, a black man who died at the hands of Minneapolis police.
But tensions escalated after police cars were vandalized and burned near PPG Paints Arena. Police used tear gas to disperse crowds Downtown, as stores were vandalized and looted.
A curfew was instituted on Saturday night at 8:30 p.m. and through 6 a.m.; another curfew was scheduled for Sunday evening.
