A Night at the Races presented by DePaul School Parent Group

A Night at the Races presented by DePaul School Parent Group

And they’re off! The DePaul School Parent Group is proud to present the return of A Night At the Races on April 13th, 2024! At DePaul School for Hearing and Speech, we teach children who are deaf or hard of hearing to listen and speak. We give them the tools they need for success in their neighborhood schools. Each year, a growing number of our students transition from DePaul School to mainstream schools alongside their peers with typical hearing.

In past years, the parents of DePaul School organized a night of fun and excitement to raise money for the Student Activity Fund which is a discretionary fund that allows us to provide the children of DePaul with whatever they may need. It provides funding for classroom materials and equipment, field trips, and parent education programs as well as allowing us to give our kids whatever they may need to give them the best possible chance to learn. Our enrollment has close to doubled this year and due to the pandemic in recent years we have not been able to hold this event and our Activity Fund is running EXTREMELY LOW! You can help us meet this year’s fundraising goal by purchasing a ticket or by donating directly to the Student Activity Fund.

For more information on how you can participate in A Night At The Races or learn more about DePaul School, please feel free to reach out to our Parent Liaison Morgan Basinger at mbasinger@depaulhearingandspeech.org. I also invite you to schedule to visit the school and meet the students you are supporting. That way you can see—or rather hear—your gift in action!
